Fall in FoCo!

It's official, the fleeting fall season is upon us! While the leaves in the high country will only hang on for a few more weeks, the magic of October is just beginning in Fort Collins! October is a perfect time to get out and explore the beauty of our sweet city and feel the unique pre-winter energy around town.

The First Friday Art Walk is a great way to enjoy the crisp weather and explore the artisan community in Old Town. On this self guided walk you can pop into various galleries, museums, and creative centers on the first Friday of the month to see new displays and showcases by local artists.

Although our days have continued to be pretty warm in Fort Collins, the nights are starting to get chilly. If you're ready to get cozy, we recommend stopping into Nuance Chocolate to try some amazing sipping chocolate or french style hot chocolate. This incredibly cute cafe and store front offers out of this world truffles, homemade chocolate bars, and even chocolate tasting flights. This local spot is full of passion and flavor, make sure you check it out!

Feel like getting out of town for a morning or afternoon? Heading up the Poudre Canyon about an hour will take you to the Dadd Gulch Trail where you can peep the fall foliage before it's too late! This moderate 3.4 mile trail (hiker and mountain bike friendly) takes you through glowing aspen groves.

Since it's almost impossible not to mention beer in a blog post about this town... how about an afternoon sipping on a seasonal brew made with pumpkin juice, cinnamon, nutmeg, cranberry, AND lemongrass? If those flavors appeal to you, head to New Belgium's liquid center to sample their Pumpkick Ale. Slighty spicy yet subtle...we're into it.

Do you have the desire to combine your love of beer with physical activity? We can't blame you! The Fort Collins Brewery offers Sunday morning yoga classes for $15 including a brew or bloody mary! Nothing like a power flow class and a little booze to get geared up for a fall morning, right?! Just make sure you reserve a spot!
